BIO-key International has announced a strategic partnership with VaporVM, a global cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services leader headquartered in Dubai. The agreement designates VaporVM as a key distributor and integrator for BIO-key’s full suite of identity solutions across the high-growth Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
The partnership marks a significant step in BIO-key’s go-to-market strategy, shifting focus toward empowering regional, full-service integrators. VaporVM will provide local sales, 24/7 technical support, and deployment services for BIO-key’s entire portfolio. This includes the flagship PortalGuard IAM platform, which offers single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and self-service password reset.
Crucially, the partnership also covers BIO-key’s advanced biometric offerings. VaporVM will integrate Identity-Bound Biometrics (IBB), the WEB-key biometric engine, and BIO-key’s line of FBI-certified USB fingerprint scanners, such as the EcoID III and PIV-Pro. This allows enterprises to deploy a flexible range of authentication methods, from traditional PINs and FIDO2 passkeys to high-assurance, device-independent biometrics.
For BIO-key, the collaboration provides an immediate and substantial footprint in the MEA market. VaporVM brings deep regional expertise, an established customer base, and critical approved vendor credentials necessary for public-sector and enterprise tenders. VaporVM’s cloud-native expertise is also a central component, as the firm will manage deployments for customers across all major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
“The collaboration combines VaporVM’s cloud-native expertise with BIO-key’s award-winning IAM platform,” said Fadi Alotaibi, Regional Channel Manager at VaporVM.
Nicholas Prinz, Regional Director for MEA at BIO-key, called the partnership “an exciting evolution in our regional strategy that builds on recent regional successes.” The announcement, which coincides with BIO-key’s presence at the Africa Tech Festival, positions the company to compete for large-scale contracts in government services, banking, telecom, and healthcare, all sectors where VaporVM already manages secure cloud operations.
