BIO-key And SAVIS Partner To Bring Biometric IAM To Vietnam

BIO-key International has entered a strategic partnership with Vietnam’s SAVIS Group to distribute and localize its identity and biometric authentication portfolio for enterprises and public-sector organizations across the country. The deal positions SAVIS as an authorized distributor of BIO-key’s identity and access management (IAM) technologies, with a focus on digital signing, identity verification, and electronic authentication use cases.

Under the agreement, SAVIS will integrate BIO-key’s IAM products into its existing trusted services platform and deliver them through a network of solution partners and enterprise customers. Offerings include the PortalGuard IAM platform, which supports multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and centralized policy management, as well as the Passkey:YOU FIDO2-based passwordless solution, the PIN:You authentication method, the WEB-key biometric engine, and BIO-key’s identity-bound biometrics approach that ties access to an individual rather than a device or token. Certified fingerprint scanners such as PIV-Pro and EcoID III are also part of the portfolio.

BIO-key positions Vietnam as one of Southeast Asia’s more promising markets for digital transformation and cybersecurity, citing growing demand for strong authentication and regulatory expectations around data protection. SAVIS, which is recognized as a leading IT enterprise in Vietnam, already works in digital transformation, cybersecurity, fintech, and trusted services, and will provide localized pre-sales, deployment, and technical support for BIO-key implementations.

The companies say the partnership will target enterprises, government agencies, and institutions that are seeking to consolidate identity management and deploy phishing-resistant authentication, including passwordless methods, to secure access to critical systems and citizen-facing services. For BIO-key, the alliance continues a broader strategy of expanding its international channel footprint, following similar distribution agreements in other regions.

For regional CISOs and security architects, the collaboration could increase the availability of standards-based, biometric-centric IAM solutions in Vietnam, backed by local integration and support, at a time when organizations are moving away from password-only models and looking to enforce stronger identity assurance for remote work, digital government, and financial services. The partnership comes as Vietnam pushes toward 100 percent digital ID coverage by 2026 and has implemented mandatory biometric authentication for banking.
