Aware has introduced biometric orchestration and decisioning capabilities, configurable workflows, and integrated partnerships with ROC and Mitek to its Awareness Platform, expanding the SaaS-based system’s ability to deliver real-time identity decisions at scale.
The Awareness Platform acts as a control plane for biometric identity, connecting biometric systems, data, and decision-making into a unified view. Organizations can configure enrollment, verification, authentication, and identification workflows, orchestrate multiple liveness detection, matching, and identity verification providers within a single transaction, and benchmark vendors in production without disrupting live operations.
ROC’s biometric matching technologies now power identity decisioning workflows within the platform, providing what the companies describe as a high-performance matching foundation. Mitek’s identity verification capabilities, including its liveness detection and deepfake defense tools, have also been integrated to extend fraud prevention across biometric and identity workflows.
“The future of identity isn’t only about better algorithms. It’s about better orchestration,” said Ajay Amlani, CEO of Aware. “Organizations are under increasing pressure to modernize identity systems while responding to rapidly evolving fraud threats and growing operational complexity.”
ROC CEO B. Scott Swann said the integration helps organizations “orchestrate workflows more effectively and gain greater visibility into biometric performance in real-world production environments.” Mitek VP of Product Management Faisal Nisar added that the partnership brings “high-assurance identity verification” trusted by top global banks to Aware’s customer base.
Aware also announced upgrades to its Intelligent Liveness system, introducing advanced optical and spectral analysis to verify that biometric images originate from a real device camera sensor. The passive system operates in under two seconds without requiring users to blink, move, or complete challenge-response actions. Intelligent Matching has also been upgraded with an algorithm delivering approximately 10x lower False Non-Match Rate and a new architecture for sub-second 1:N matching across large datasets.
The Burlington, Massachusetts-based company, which serves more than 100 commercial clients and over 80 government agencies, says general availability for the latest platform innovations is planned for Q3 2026.
