Authologic Registered in Poland to Issue EU Digital Identity Wallet Attestations

Poland’s central bank has registered Authologic as a trust service provider able to issue Electronic Attestations of Attributes, the cryptographically signed credentials that people and organisations will share through EU Digital Identity Wallets.

The registration, granted by Narodowy Bank Polski, makes the company the first in Poland and one of the first in Europe cleared to issue them. Businesses can both issue and verify attestations through the platform now.

Electronic Attestations of Attributes are the layer that turns a wallet from a container for a government identity document into something that can carry verified claims from other issuers. An attestation carries a verified attribute that a relying party can check without the holder handing over an entire identity document. Authologic says the capability is live, and that businesses can trial issuance and verification in its EUDI Playground before the wallet deadline arrives.

The registration lands against two fixed deadlines. Under eIDAS 2.0, all 27 EU member states must make at least one European Digital Identity Wallet available from December 2026. That gives issuers and relying parties a fixed date by which wallet credentials move from pilots into production. The EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation then takes effect from July 2027 and will expand the role of electronic identification in customer verification.

“Electronic attestations and EUDI Wallets will soon become a core part of how identity works across Europe,” said Jarek Sygitowicz, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Authologic. “Being registered to issue them places Authologic at the centre of an identity infrastructure that will underpin digital identity for around 450 million Europeans.”

“Regulated businesses need to be ready to both issue and accept these credentials, and we’re giving them the infrastructure to do that,” he added.

Authologic describes itself as a trust infrastructure platform for regulated businesses that verify and authenticate users. The company positions the registration as preparation for regulated businesses facing a run of digital identity deadlines, as Europe moves from traditional identity verification toward wallet-based credentials. It already works on the acceptance side of wallet credentials, letting businesses accept Google Wallet IDs from a phone.
