[AUDIO INTERVIEW] Our ISC West Chat with ZKTeco USA CEO Larry Reed

ZKTeco came into this year’s ISC West on a wave of big news, having announced at the start of the month that premises management solutions provider Observables had signed on as a reseller of its biometric access control technologies, and that it had teamed up with Altronix to offer a new power board solution for the configuration of access control systems. But it’s the company’s partnership with access control panel provider Mercury that gets the spotlight in ZKTeco USA CEO Larry Reed‘s discussion with FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill on the show floor of ISC West 2018, with Reed emphasizing the simple compatibility of ZKTeco’s biometric solutions with the systems of Mercury’s partners.

From there, the two discuss the “phenomenal year” that ZKTeco has enjoyed, the accelerating adoption of biometric technologies, and the importance of offering a good return on investment. O’Neill and Reed conclude their chat with a discussion of what’s next for the industry, with Reed highlighting the growing use of facial recognition in retail, where it can improve customers service and provide businesses with a lot of important data.
