Chicago-based SoloInsight has integrated Fujitsu’s PalmSecure technology into its CloudGate cloud-based physical access control platform. The companies plan to show off the solution together at this week’s ISC West conference in Las Vegas.
PalmSecure is, of course, Fujitsu’s palm vein scanning technology for biometric identification. While it was first introduced many years ago, Fujitsu has continued to refine its PalmSecure technology and has seen numerous major integrations of it as the overall biometrics market has grown.
Commenting on this latest integration in a statement, SoloInsight CTO Farhan Masood said that the SoloInsight team is “delighted to partner with Fujitsu by adding their PalmSecure biometric sensor to the CloudGate access intelligence platform.” Indeed, it should prove to be a useful component of CloudGate’s multimodal biometric capabilities.
Meanwhile, Fujitsu says that at ISC West it will also showcase its own PalmEntry XS access control solution, as well as a two-factor authentication device called the ID-Match and its Fujitsu V535 tablet, all of which are based on its PalmSecure biometrics technology.
