BIO-key International has been optimistic about 2014. Last week the company released its final 2013 financial results, hosting a conference call that was broadcast live over the Internet, and though the revenues were down when compared to the year previous, BIO-key itself is in an excellent position as we enter this year’s second quarter.
Today, BIO-key’s active role in the biometrics arena is on full display. The fingerprint identification and mobile solutions company announced that it has expanded its partner sales network with five new members.
CAS Severn, ILANTUS Technologies, Palmetto Software Group, Pontis Research and Prolifics were all named today as new sales partners of BIO-key.
This is a diverse set of partners, which is a good reflection of how BIO-key is posturing itself. Going through each new partner in the order listed above (alphabetical) we find: CAS Severn: Premier IBM Business Partner, is a full service technology services company providing consultation, technology integration, services and support; ILANTUS: an IBM, CA and Oracle partner reseller and a leading integrated solution provider in the identity management, access management, access governance, federation and information security arena; Palmetto Software Group, a consulting and software development firm specializing in IT security; Pontis Research, an IBM Advanced Business Partner, is comprised of a team of highly-specialized security consultants; and finally, Prolifics, a multi-award winning IBM reseller, first specialized in building high-performance transactional systems for many of the biggest firms on Wall Street.
“By signing world class integration Channel partners of this magnitude, we enhance our ability to drive revenue, gain order flow and grow our business,” says Jim Skidmore, senior vice president of global sales and channel development at BIO-key. “The mounting interest in our technology, validated by the ongoing activity in the security partner channel is quite encouraging as according to industry estimates, as much as 80% of IBM software and appliance revenue is generated through their resellers. Consistent with our 2014 Business Plan and through these relationships we are expanding our pipeline and have already engaged in new deal opportunities.”
BIO-key also recently partnered with IDEX ASA in a further commitment to the mobile market.
