Anonybit Launches First Decentralized Platform for AI Agent Identity Security

Anonybit has launched a decentralized biometrics platform designed to support secure, identity-bound AI agents, positioning itself as the first to bring such a solution to market. The new platform addresses longstanding security and trust concerns in AI-driven interactions, particularly in agentic commerce, by anchoring artificial intelligence to verified human identities.Abstract composition of overlapping puzzle piece shapes in vibrant colors like red, orange, yellow, and teal, suggesting concepts of interconnectivity, problem-solving, or system integration.

A Three-Layered Platform for Secure AI Identity

The platform is built around three key components. First, a decentralized biometric cloud enables multimodal authentication, including iris, voice, and palm biometrics. Second, a decentralized data vault provides privacy compliance and quantum-resistant security for data storage. Third, an identity token management system authorizes specific actions by AI agents within enterprise workflows. Together, these components form a secure identity layer that prevents unauthorized activity while preserving user privacy.

It’s an approach that aligns with Anonybit’s foundational strategy of storing biometric data in fragmented, anonymized bits rather than centralized databases. The model is designed to minimize the risk of large-scale breaches and regulatory non-compliance by ensuring no single entity holds the complete biometric profile.

Anonybit’s capabilities were recently bolstered by a newly granted USPTO patent for its decentralized biometric authentication technology. The company also announced a partnership with SmartUp, a no-code AI platform, to enable real-world deployment of identity-bound agents. Through this collaboration, businesses can integrate secure AI interactions into customer service, finance, and operations without compromising regulatory compliance or user trust.

Enterprise Applications and Industry Support

“Agentic commerce holds incredible promise for efficiency and scale, but without identity, it also introduces serious risks around trust, fraud, and control,” said Frances Zelazny, Co-Founder and CEO of Anonybit. “We’re proud to be the first to bring a real-world solution to market that delivers secure, ethical, and scalable agentic workflows.”

The announcement follows a period of expansion for Anonybit, during which the company integrated multiple biometric modalities through strategic partnerships. Collaborations with EyeLock and ID R&D added support for iris and voice recognition, while a partnership with Armatura extended the platform’s capabilities to palm biometrics. These integrations have helped Anonybit move toward a fully multimodal biometric solution that supports diverse enterprise use cases.

Anonybit’s technology is already in use across sectors including finance, healthcare, retail, and government. The launch of its AI identity platform marks a new chapter in secure digital transformation, enabling businesses to deploy AI agents that can authenticate user intent, execute tasks, and ensure accountability—all without compromising privacy.
