The Australian Taxation Office has awarded Accenture a contract worth A$36.2 million for its Digital Identity Services branch, whose products include myID, the Australian Government’s Digital ID app. According to a contract notice published on AusTender on October 21, the ATO signed the contract on September 30. It runs from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, and four extension options could take it to September 30, 2029. The notice lists the procurement method as an open tender, with 132 suppliers invited.
Accenture’s previous digital identity work order with the ATO was listed at A$29.6 million when it was published in July 2023. Amendments have since raised its value to A$100.8 million. The new contract comes as Australia prepares to let businesses apply to participate in its Digital ID System from December 1.
