RecFaces has received official certification for the integration of its Id-Gate biometric access control solution with the Genetec Security Center platform. The certification allows organizations to deploy facial recognition-based authentication within their existing Genetec environments, supporting unified management of biometric access events alongside video surveillance, access control, and analytics operations.
The integration offers a range of interoperability features, including bi-directional profile synchronization, customizable alerts, real-time monitoring, detailed audit trails, and support for multifactor authentication. These capabilities are designed to strengthen operational security while preserving the flexibility and scalability of Genetec’s unified platform, which is widely adopted across enterprise sectors.
The Id-Gate solution also incorporates several technical features aimed at enhancing security and resilience. Liveness detection mechanisms are used to prevent spoofing attempts with photos or videos, while virtual access points enable real-time personnel tracking across facilities. The platform supports offline functionality, ensuring that access control remains operational during network disruptions and synchronizes data once connectivity is restored. Organizations can generate smart reports via a graphical interface or direct SQL queries, and flexible master/slave synchronization modes allow administrators to customize how Id-Gate and Genetec systems exchange and prioritize data.
RecFaces notes that Id-Gate is designed to comply with international data protection standards, including GDPR. The system provides configurable settings for managing biometric data retention, consent protocols, and regional legal requirements, which is critical for deployments in privacy-sensitive jurisdictions.
Certified integration with Genetec aligns with broader industry trends toward unified biometric security solutions. Similar integrations have been achieved by other providers earlier this year, reflecting growing enterprise demand for seamless, multi-factor authentication capabilities. In previous interviews, Genetec executives have emphasized the strategic importance of interoperability within modern security systems, underscoring the company’s ongoing support for diverse authentication methods.
Beyond the Genetec partnership, RecFaces has been expanding its ecosystem by enabling Id-Gate integration with other major security platforms, including LenelS2 OnGuard, Milestone, Pelco, Schneider Electric, and Honeywell. The company’s broader market efforts also include initiatives such as its collaboration with the Shopping Centre Association of India to promote facial recognition adoption in retail environments.
The Id-Gate solution is positioned for deployment across a variety of enterprise environments, including critical infrastructure facilities, transportation hubs, healthcare institutions, and corporate campuses. Specific use cases include preventing unauthorized transfer of RFID cards, mitigating tailgating risks, enabling secure guest access without physical cards, and integrating biometric authentication with broader ERP, CRM, or time tracking systems.
In addition to strengthening access security, Id-Gate’s real-time alerting, analytics, and incident reporting tools are designed to improve compliance, streamline investigations, and support proactive security management strategies for enterprises facing increasingly complex threat environments.
