Saviynt Raises 700 Million Dollars to Extend Identity Governance to AI Agents

Identity security vendor Saviynt has closed a 700 million dollar growth round that sharply raises the stakes in the market for converged identity and access security. The Series B, led by KKR’s Next Generation Technology Growth Fund with participation from Sixth Street, Ten Eleven Ventures and existing investor Carrick Capital, values the Los Angeles-based company at around 3 billion dollars.

Saviynt’s platform spans identity governance, privileged access management and application access control across both human and non-human identities. That non-human piece is central to the new funding narrative: as enterprises adopt AI co-pilots, autonomous agents and workflow bots, each of those software entities effectively becomes a user with permissions that must be governed, audited and revoked like any employee’s. Saviynt’s model is to tie each agent identity to an accountable human owner and enforce least-privilege access across applications and data sets, preventing orphaned or over-privileged AI accounts from becoming blind spots.

The capital raise is a signal that identity governance is being repositioned as the control plane for AI rather than just a compliance requirement. The company says it will use the funds to expand globally and accelerate R&D, with roughly one-third of its current business already outside the United States. The round also lands in a broader consolidation trend, with large security platforms moving to own identity end-to-end, and private equity firms betting that cloud-native identity stacks will be the anchor for how enterprises keep AI-driven workflows in check.
