HYPR and iProov have announced a partnership that combines HYPR’s passwordless workforce authentication platform with iProov’s cloud-based face verification, positioning the pair as a joint offering against workforce identity fraud and deepfake-enabled impersonation.
Under the partnership, HYPR will orchestrate phishing-resistant, FIDO-based login flows for employees, while iProov supplies remote identity proofing and ongoing biometric checks using its Dynamic Liveness technology. The goal is to let organizations bind a high-assurance enrolment event – anchored in a government credential and guided selfie – to the device-bound authenticators staff rely on for day-to-day access.
For remote hiring and contractor onboarding, that pattern is pitched as a way to close gaps that appear when HR, IT and security teams rely on document checks alone or on weak, knowledge-based verification. New joiners and contractors can be verified once using iProov before HYPR issues or updates their passkey-style credentials, reducing the risk that synthetic identities, impostors or account sharing slip into workforce directories.
The integration also gives security teams a mechanism for step-up checks during high-risk events such as privileged-access logins, policy changes or sensitive approvals. Because iProov’s liveness engine is tuned to detect replayed and manipulated video streams, it is positioned as a control against scenarios where threat actors combine remote-desktop tools, AI voice cloning and face-swap technologies to impersonate employees in real time.
For CISOs, the partnership underlines how workforce identity stacks are being rebuilt for an era of AI and mixed human/non-human users. Anchoring device-bound authenticators to a strongly verified human identity, and being able to re-verify that identity when risk signals spike, is likely to become a baseline requirement for regulated sectors as auditors and regulators scrutinise who approved high-impact changes.
