Identity and authentication firm 1Kosmos announced today that its remote identity verification and passwordless multi-factor authentication (MFA) platform is now available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. The move is designed to lower the barrier for Azure customers to deploy high-assurance identity solutions.
The marketplace listing for the 1Kosmos BlockID Workforce platform allows enterprises and public sector organizations to procure and deploy the identity stack more easily within their existing Azure environments. Key features include biometric authentication with liveness detection to prevent spoofing and support for major identity standards like FIDO2 and NIST 800-63-3. The platform integrates directly with Microsoft Entra ID.
This launch deepens the existing collaboration between the two companies, building on a previous integration with Microsoft Entra ID that unified identity proofing and passwordless access. It also follows significant momentum for 1Kosmos in regulated sectors, after the company achieved FedRAMP High authorization for its platform earlier this year, enabling use by federal agencies.
By listing on the Azure Marketplace, 1Kosmos is strategically embedding its services within the Microsoft ecosystem. For organizations heavily invested in Azure, this simplifies procurement and can speed up the deployment of advanced identity verification for remote onboarding, re-authentication, and account recovery workflows. Analysts note that this move helps 1Kosmos differentiate itself in a competitive identity market by reducing integration friction for a large enterprise customer base.
